Apartment Review for Marina Landing - Galveston, TX

When I first moved here two years ago, the complex was quiet, safe, and a great bargain. BUT in the past year, things have taken a turn for the worse. For example, the complex used to come in and spray for critters once a month (because Galveston has some huge roaches!), but now-- they have been 'in between' exterminators for the past year, with no sign of signing a new contract. Street lamps are broken, which makes walking back from your car at night quite daunting. It takes a number of phone calls to nonessential things fixed, but neccesities (like water heaters) get fixed quickly. The apartment has had a number of thefts in their parking lots and the security gate is NEVER closed. When the gate is closed, frequent visitors know to just pull open the gate. There are couples living in the RV's around the marina and people who live on their boats. I finally left this complex after my lease was up.
