Apartment Review for The Club Of The Isle - Galveston, TX

Where should I start? Ownership of this place has changed hands many times since it was built and was foreclosed on last year. There has to be a reason why the nicest apartment complex on the island can't fill up. The noise at this place is atrocious. They used incorrect insulation when they built the place and so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Severe mold problems are also fairly common. A quick google image search for "Club of the Isle" will tell you everything you want to know. They bill themselves as "pet friendly" which means that there is a higher probability of irresponsible pet owners. Take a whiff of the elevator in building 3 or by the grass near the elevator by any of the buildings. Not that there aren’t responsible pet owners, it’s just the bad ones that ruin it. Prices for this place have continued to rise despite the loss of their “ocean view” by the new Diamond Beach Condos. They used to have a beautiful, unobstructed view. The place also doesn’t even come close to being full. Any idiot who has taken business 101 knows that there is something wrong with your price point if you’re not selling any product. The solution isn’t then to raise the price point. You can rent a house with more square footage in a good location on the island for what they want for the 2 bedroom apartments and you won’t have to deal with apartment life, especially when the walls are way to thin. Although the change of management companies has changed to overall mood of the place, it's still too early to tell if they will be an improvement from JMG Realty, who routinely stuck the screws to the residents, sometimes illegally. Thankfully the new owners realized this was damaging their reputation and they replaced the management company and fired the apartment manager.
